wallbratHere we go again. The news agencies have jumped the gun and declared Clinton the presumptive winner of the Democratic nomination and the public is responding as expected. They're screaming like a five year old that has had their favorite toy taken away from them.
This is the home of the scared and the delusional, not the home of the brave and the free. The scared and delusional ones are the bulk of our population. The ones who will throw a fit at any imagined slight, inconvenience or challenge to their opinions. The brave ones are our soldiers. You remember them. The ones that are treated like crap by their own country once they return home. Where are the free? They've been gone for decades, if they ever existed at all. Keep in mind that I love my country. I love the freedoms that we once had....oh. Wait a minute. There's our first segue.
Privileges
We do not have rights. If anything can be taken away from you or restricted then it's not a right and it's not free. It's a privilege. Not even breathing is a right. You could have your head blown off or get hit by a bus today. Where are your rights then? The concept of rights is a human invention and it has no basis in fact.
We trade the privileges that we do have for the illusion of security. We gave quite a few of them away after 9/11. Did anyone feel safer? I certainly didn't and I went along with like the rest of you did. Not only do we not have any rights, we're not fighting to retain the privileges that would do have. We will lose more privileges without a bang or even a whimper. It will happen without us even being aware of it because we refuse to wake up and use the tools that we do have to stop it."
Politics the Second
When it comes to politics have you ever noticed that most people are just fucking stupid? I'm talking about those true low grade morons in need of a brain transplant and an enema. The type of person that should never be let out in public unless they're leashed and muzzled.
Did that piss some of you off? I sure as hell hope so. The Universe knows that I've been trying for months. If I finally managed it then there may be hope for the less damaged members of our species yet. For the truly defective ones get a leash and a muzzle. You can't destroy stupidity. It can be muffled, however. Your ears will thank me even if your mouths don't.
You need to know how to use your political system and I don't mean for you to let it devolve into the standard prick waving dick fights we see. Go to your local library or do some actual research online. You'll find out that you have quite a bit of power at the city and state levels of government. These politicians pay, at least, passing attention to their voters. They understand that they can be voted out of office at almost any time, depending on the circumstance. Most of them may actually care about their voters. I think that job security plays a large part in that. Politics beats the hell out of punching a time clock. That doesn't hold true for the federal level of government, especially the upper levels of it.
Lets be honest. The Federal government gives less than two shits about you. The upper levels of it don't care at all. Why should they? Most of them don't have term limits and many of them have been there longer than most of you have been alive. We're talking about rich, elitist, white males that mouth platitudes, vote themselves pay raises and who lost touch with the realities of working class Americans decades ago. That assumes that they ever understood it to begin with. Instead of voting them out, we continue to vote for these parasitic individuals who view us as numbers.
I get the feeling that I may have irritated a few more of you. At least you're paying attention to something other than Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr or Game of Thrones, to name a few. Read on my irate ones. Reading helps engage that the lump between your ears. All muscles require exercise occasionally.
Where was I? Oh yes. The government doesn't care about you so long as you vote the way that they want you to. All they need to do to insure that is distract you and they don't need to do much to accomplish that. The sad part is that we do most of the job ourselves. They make sure things hit social media and the news outlets. We do the rest ourselves.
Who is pissing in what bathroom. Gay marriage. Brock Turner. Transphobia. Homophobia. Bernie vs Hilary. Donald Trump. Beware of the Muslims. Bernie or bust. Are we beginning to get the picture or should I grab a hammer?
Priorities, people. We have got to prioritize before we wind up with even less privileges than we currently have. At the top of the list is the Presidential election. Everything else, while important, has to take second place. You can, conceivably, pay attention to all of them simultaneously. You damned well better have the election in first place. This stopped being a normal election once Donald Trump got involved. We no longer have the luxury of being easily led cattle anymore.
Donald Trump is an unmitigated disaster waiting to happen. Go look it up so that the joy of discovery may be yours. We have to keep him out of the oval office. The way we do that is to vote for the Democratic nominee, whoever that may be. There is no other viable option. For those lovely mental defectives that threaten to writing Sanders in if Clinton wins the nomination, go the fuck home. Go play in the sandbox, jack off to Game of Thrones, whatever floats your boat. If you refuse to learn how your political system functions then stay the hell home. Reading and thinking are, apparently, too taxing for your poor brain cells so don't strain yourself and ruin the country for the rest of us.

Pick up a history book. The winners of Democrat and Republican National Conventions are the only ones that will be elected. Nothing you say or do will change that fact. Don't yell at me about it. Go complain to the Electoral College as they are the ones that do the electing. I wish you luck in that. They don't care about you any more than the other politicians do.
There wouldn't be enough write in ballots to elect Sanders. Most of his supporters will vote for Clinton if they have to because they understand reality. All you will do if you ignore this is to remove votes needed to keep Trump out of office. Clinton is aware of this. In the 2008 race, Clinton swung her support to Barack Obama once it was clear that he had won the nomination. Whoever wins the nomination will have the support of the loser this time as well.
After the election is over then we can focus on other things. Add to list, Term Limits, Salary Caps, replacing antiquated political fossils, getting rid of the super delegates and dismantling the Electoral College. We can deal with all of the issues currently on social media as well. Actually we might want to start there first.
The real reason that politicians don't care about us is that we aren't threat. We could enact change on a sweeping level but it will never happen. We're more interested in voting for things that don't matter. American Idol is one example. We're children playing at being adults and it's past time that we grew up and starting thinking.
Thinking
It's not illegal to think. Go read a book. Visit your local library. Most libraries offer methods of checking out books electronically. Reacquaint yourself with how your country is supposed to function. Read about other countries and compare them to ours.
Try something really drastic. Turn off the TV and social media for one week and see what happens. Most of you will react like addicts and that should tell you something. Too much of what we read and see goes through filters before we get it. Go to the sources and learn something.
I've pissed off a lot of you and I've done it on purpose. Angry people tend to think more than complacent sheep do. Everything I've said can be verified. What pisses most of you off is not the fact that I wrote this. It's the fact that I'm right. If it wasn't for that most of you would be laughing.
Go verify things and then think and learn. Become a voter that politicians have a reason to be concerned about. That's the only way we'll see positive change. Until then the status quo will remain unchanged because it has no reason to.
